Hybrid Engine Options & Powertrain
While the 2018 C 350e Sedan, 2018 GLC 350e 4MATIC® SUV, and 2018 GLE 550e 4MATIC® SUV may all be hybrid models, they don’t sacrifice the unparalleled performance Mercedes-Benz luxury vehicles are known for. All three models utilize an electric motor in conjunction with a turbocharged gas engine to produce exceptional horsepower. The standard E-BOOST feature allows the electric motor to raise total torque to impressive levels for quick acceleration all while delivering remarkable fuel economy.
The advanced lithium-ion battery can be charged multiple ways: by the gas engine while driving, at public charging stations, or even at your own home using an ordinary household power outlet. A regenerative braking system recuperates the natural kinetic energy produced when decelerating to feed the battery as well.
